Doors or Wheels? The debate that has divided the internet.

What started as a harmless debate between Ryan Nixon and his friend has taken social media platforms Twitter and TikTok by storm. Here at Leader Online, we’re trying our best not to be biased when it comes to the argument currently taking over the internet.

Two weeks ago, Ryan Nixon from New Zealand created a Twitter poll for his one thousand followers, and the rest is history.
While initially you may think of wheels solely in terms of car tires, the advocates of Team Wheels have pointed out plenty of common objects that have wheels, including toy cars, office chairs and shopping trolleys. The same applies for Doors, with many theories considering the doors on cruise ships and skyscrapers and our personal theory considering the doors in our warehouses.
At the polls close, it had accumulated 223,347 votes, almost 2,500 comments and over 9,000 retweets, with 53.6% users agreeing there are more wheels in the world. With 1000s of internal doors in stock and ready to go, we can’t quite believe that wheels have taken the victory.
TikTok users have quickly jumped on the bandwagon, making videos about the topic using a sound on the app by 'Icy Trey', and over 40,000 videos have been made by users sharing extravagant theories. Finding the right answer would take great effort and resources, which has made this argument so controversial. According to Nixon himself, “People were pointing out office chairs and trolleys and wheels in your drawers and wheels on sliding doors and on toys. I’m firmly team wheels now.”
Where do you fall in the argument? Are you Team Doors or Team Wheels? We know our answer!
