Does light laminate flooring fade in the sunlight?

A high-quality laminate flooring is unlikely to fade in the sun but if you are conscious of your product fading, check out our light real wood flooring, which would be perfect in conservatories. Most laminate floor products feature an aluminium oxide coating as a top layer which prevents fading from a small to moderate amount of sunlight. However, if you do have  windows that allow intense sunlight through, your floors may be prone to discolouration. During times of intense direct sunlight, it may be best to draw your blinds to prevent any fading.

Is light laminate flooring water resistant?

As with any laminate flooring, there are waterproof options available; our range of light waterproof laminate flooring boasts perfect options for your bathroom and conservatory, providing that they are correctly fitted and sealed to prevent water seeping through.

Can you lighten laminate flooring?

You can change the colour of your laminate flooring by staining or painting it. Most people will choose to recolour their laminate flooring when it starts to look old or if they want a different colour in their home to match the new decor. Once done, it is best to apply a sealant to your laminate floors to protect the paintwork. Light laminate flooring can be painted to suit your preference, providing that you ensure the flooring is painted correctly.   Check out our guide on how to paint laminate flooring.
