The range of white internal doors from Leader Online

Our white internal doors range includes the below finishes, glazes, door types, and size options.

Finishes

  • Primed - Most of our white internal doors are primed, meaning they arrive at your door with a base coat of white primer having already been applied at our factory. They are ready for you to apply your topcoat in your chosen colour.
  • Fully Finished - These white doors already have a coat of lacquer and are ready to hang, in a fixed colour or wood-effect surface. You don’t need to stain or paint them, which saves you time, effort, and hassle.

Door types

  • Panelled - Our white panelled doors are designed with a framework featuring recessed or raised panels. They work well in various settings, such as traditional homes, period properties, and high-traffic environments.
  • White Bifold Doors - Our bifold white doors are the perfect space-saving option for pantries, kitchens leading to dining rooms, and living rooms leading to hallways.
  • White Internal Sliding Doors - Our sliding white doors are best for compact rooms where there’s less space for a door to swing. (We offer white pocket door variations, as well.)
  • White Glazed Doors - Our glazed white doors provide a natural flow of light to your room and exude warmth and style.
  • White Room Dividers - If you have a larger, open-plan space, our Room Dividers are a natural fit. They can be left open to create a sense of expansiveness and closed to help retain heat and cosiness.
  • White Fire Doors - Our white internal fire doors are FD30 rated, meaning they can stop the spread of fire and smoke for at least 30 minutes.

Sizes

  • Height: Our white internal doors range in height from 1829mm (or 72 inches) to 2021mm (or 80 inches).

How much do white internal doors cost?

White internal doors from our collection are extremely affordable, making them a good choice for almost any budget. Our white internal doors start from as little as £15 and can cost up to £1,000 depending on the type of door, size, materials used, and its construction.

These are some of the most common questions we get from our customers regarding white internal doors.

Do I need to paint my white internal door?

No, you don’t need to paint your door if you choose a pre-finished white door. These types of doors already have a coat of lacquer and are ready to hang without the need for painting or staining. This is ideal if you’re working to a tight timeframe and want a quick and easy installation.

However, if you prefer to put your own creative stamp on your door so you can match it to your interior, opt for a primed white door that’s ready for you to apply your topcoat in your chosen colour.

Remember not to paint over the hinges or frame, as this will ruin the door’s appearance and compromise its performance.

Can I buy white internal doors that don’t need painting?

Yes, choose our white internal doors that are listed as 'fully finished', these doors have a lacquer coating already applied, and are ready to hang straight away.

How do I clean white doors?

White internal doors can easily accumulate dust, fingerprints, and scuff marks over time. That’s why you need to clean them regularly to keep them looking bright and fresh.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to clean your white doors:

  1. Start by dusting the surface, edges, and handles with a soft microfibre cloth.
  2. Next, create a mild solution of warm water and washing-up liquid. Avoid soaking the surface, especially on timber or painted doors, as excess moisture can damage the finish.
  3. Wipe the door clean, rubbing in circular motions so that you’re not leaving streaks and lifting dirt and grime from the surfaces more efficiently.
  4. Once your door is cleaned, dry it thoroughly with a lint-free cloth to avoid streaks or water marks.

How do I hang white doors?

You’ll need a tape measure, sharp pencil, 25 mm (1″) Chisel, drill, and two to three suitable door hinges, among other tools.

Mark the position of the existing hinge, use these marks to position your new hinge, and cut around the pencil marks to make a recess in the door.

Next, drill pilot holes for each screw in the hinge plate, which will help to prevent the wood from splitting.

Using a suitable screwdriver, fix the screws in place and fully tighten.

With the first screws in place, check the door opens and closes easily and fluidly so it doesn’t stick or resist.

If you’re happy, fix the rest of the screws in the hinges.

Once everything’s in place, double-check that you are happy with how easily the door opens.

The whole process should take roughly one to two hours.

We’ve put together a really handy guide on How to Hang a Door which explains the tools you need and the step-by-step instructions you should follow.

Are white interior doors still in style?

White doors remain one of our best-selling products and are still in fashion due to their compatibility with virtually every interior style, from period properties to new builds. They're ideal for DIY projects, as they can be painted in any colour to suit your exact tastes.

What are the trimming allowances on white interior doors?

Trimming allowances on white interior doors typically range from 3mm to 6mm per side (or a total of 6mm to 12mm in each direction). However, the exact allowances depend on the door’s internal construction. Please check individual products for their trimming allowances, which you can find in the specification tables.
