The range of oak glazed doors from Leader Online
Below is a list of the different glass styles, door types, and finishes in our range.
Glass styles
- Clear - This glazing maximises the flow of natural light, connects rooms visually, and makes darker spaces feel brighter and more open.
- Bevelled - This glazing adds a timeless sparkle and opulence to your property. It sits around the entire outside edge of the glass pane, usually at an angle of less than 90 degrees.
- Decorative - This glazing features patterned or textured designs that add visual interest and is best for hallways and porches.
- Obscure - This glazing blurs or distorts the view through the glass while still allowing natural light to pass through. It’s perfect if you prefer privacy and want to create a degree of separation between rooms.
Door types
- Glazed Fire Doors - Our glazed oak fire doors are FD30 rated, meaning they can withstand heat and resist fire for at least 30 minutes.
- Oak Sliding Doors - If there’s little room for your door to swing and you need to save on space, our sliding oak glazed doors are ideal. We offer pocket door variations, as well.
- Laminate - Our laminate oak effect glazed doors have an easy-to-clean surface, meaning they’ll stay looking fantastic all-year-round with minimal upkeep.
Finishes
- Unfinished - They arrive as raw timber and are ready for you to stain or paint from scratch to match your interior. You have total control over the final look.
- Fully Finished - They already have a coat of lacquer and are ready to hang, in a fixed colour or wood-effect surface. You don’t need to stain or paint them, which saves you time and effort if this is important to you.
Do oak doors with glass come as a fire door?
Yes, we sell internal oak fire doors with glass, which offer the perfect middle ground on style and safety. These FD30 rated doors are 44mm thick (9mm thicker than a standard door), featuring toughened glass, and will prevent the spread of smoke and fire for at least 30 minutes, giving occupants enough time to evacuate safely and limiting property damage.
How do I clean the glass on my glazed oak interior door?
Below are the steps you need to follow when cleaning your glazed oak interior door. We recommend following these steps once a month or more.
- Use a soft, dry microfibre cloth to remove surface dust and dirt from the door frame, handles, and corners.
- Wipe in a downward motion so the glass frame catches it. This will prevent dirt from mixing with your cleaner and spreading across the glass.
- Make your glass cleaning solution by mixing equal parts white vinegar and distilled water into a spray bottle. Don’t use tap water, as it contains minerals that will leave streaks on your clean glass panes.
- Spray your homemade solution directly onto the surface of the glass, and rub away any dirt using a sponge or cloth, focusing on smudges and spots. Rub in a circular motion.
- Dry the glass using a squeegee, starting in the upper corner of the glass. Gently pull the squeegee in a downward motion until the whole of the glass is dry and clear.
- Take a dry, soft cloth and wipe the glass in one direction only across the whole surface. Do this quickly to prevent the appearance of streaks.

Are glazed oak interior doors good for sound absorption and heat insulation?
Oak-glazed internal doors do provide good sound insulation, which is especially important for busy family homes. However, their overall acoustic performance will be slightly reduced compared to a completely solid door of the same thickness due to the glass. For areas like the kitchen and dining room, the sound insulation should be fine. If you are looking to improve sound insulation in private areas of your home, such as a home office, we’d recommend a solid oak door.
What are the benefits of glazed oak interior doors?
Oak-glazed internal doors offer a perfect blend of style, light transmission, and natural durability, making them an excellent investment. The primary benefits are:
- Natural Light Maximisation: The integrated glass panels increase natural light flow between rooms. This reduces reliance on artificial lighting and makes dark hallways, landings, and internal spaces feel instantly brighter and more welcoming.
- Aesthetic Appeal: Genuine oak doors offer a timeless, high-quality finish that enhances any aesthetic, regardless of style.
- Visual Connection: The glazing creates a seamless visual link between areas such as the living room and dining room, providing an open-plan feel while still offering sound and temperature separation.
- Safety and Durability: All modern glazed doors use toughened safety glass, and the solid, heavy core of the oak internal door provides excellent stability and long-term performance.
