What comes in a room divider set?

A standard room divider set from Leader Online includes three main components:

  1. Two doors.
  2. Two sidelights (the fixed glass panels on either side of the doors).
  3. The frame holding everything together.

Most sets come with a head, two mullions, and two jambs for a secure, effortless installation. 

Please note: The sets vary by style. Some are mostly glass room dividers, while others feature a mix of solid panels and glass. Please consult the individual product pages for more information. 

What types of room dividers can I get for my home?

You can choose from various finishes and glazing options, depending on your practical and visual requirements. Below is a full breakdown of the types of room dividers on offer from Leader Online.

Finishes

  • Primed - The most common finish across our room divider range. Our primed room dividers arrive with a base coat of white primer that’s been professionally applied at our factory. They are ready for you to apply the topcoat in your chosen colour.
  • Unfinished - Your room divider set arrives as raw timber, allowing you to sand, stain, paint, or oil it from scratch. This option gives you the most amount of creative control, which is perfect if you’re managing a home renovation project or looking for a very specific divider to match your wider interior.
  • Fully Finished - Your fully finished room divider set has a coat of lacquer that’s been professionally applied at our factory and is ready to install from the moment you get your hands on it. You don’t need to worry about painting or staining it, which may suit you down to the ground if you’re time-poor or managing a renovation project to tight turnaround times.

Glazing 

  • Clear - Our clear glazed room divider sets maximise the amount of natural light that comes into your living space. Clear glass provides an unobstructed view between one room and another and is ideal for hallways, kitchens, and dining rooms.
  • Decorative - Our decorative room divider sets feature patterned or textured designs. Although more translucent than clear glass dividers, they still allow a lot of natural light to pass through and brighten your interior. They work well in hallways and landings where you want to draw people’s eyes to a visual focal point.

Colours

Oak is by far our most popular colour when it comes to room dividers, thanks to its distinct rich grain pattern and warm golden hue. We also have Black, White, and Pine room dividers. 

Panels

Most of our room divider doors feature a single-panel design, but we also offer two-panel and three-panel styles.

What sizes do room divider doors come in?

Our room divider doors are available in a range of widths, ranging from 2440mm (96.1 Inches) to 2896mm (114 Inches). All our dividers are the standard door height of 2100mm (82.7 Inches). Can I build a room divider using my own doors?

Yes, you can purchase a Room Divider Frame Kit on its own if you already have doors you'd like to use to build a room divider. 

This kit gives you the structural components (head, jambs, and mullions) and sidelights without the doors. You then fit your own doors into the frame, giving you complete autonomy over the style, colour, finish, and so on. 

A room divider frame kit allows you to match your room divider to either a) the existing doors elsewhere in your property or b) a specific door from our range that doesn’t come as part of a pre-built divider set.

Do room divider doors help with heat retention?

Yes - compared to an open plan space, room divider doors can help contain heat in your home when closed. Some of our range have large glass panels which still allow you to let light through while staying warm.

How easy is it to maintain divider doors?

They're very easy to look after. Just wipe the frames with a soft, non-abrasive cleaner to keep them dust-free, and use standard glass cleaner on the panels to remove streaks or fingerprints.
