Fire Door Standard Sizes

Fire doors are slightly thicker than standard doors by around 45mm. Their construction involves using extra components in the core to improve their fire rating. This means they cannot be trimmed down, so finding a fire door that fits is extremely important.

Typical imperial fire door sizes are:

  •  27”x78”
  •  30”x78”
  •  22”x78”

They may also be available in smaller sizes of 24”x78”.

Metric fire doors may also be available in standard sizes, including:

  • 626mm x 2040mm
  • 726mm x 2040mm
  • 926mm x 2040mm

All of our standard UK door sizes are typically available in a fire door equivalent. Shop the full range today, or read our guide to fire doors to learn more.

French Door Standard Sizes

French doors are available in a wide range of sizes, though some manufacturers offer more size options than others. Typically, internal French doors are either 35mm or 40mm thick, while external French doors are 44mm thick and are available in sizes from:

  • 36”x78” - 42”x78”
  • 46”x78”
  • 48”78”
  • 54”78”
